First Baptist Church has been a central part of the Clay Street (Old Fourth Ward) and Annapolis community for more than 120 years. We continue to support and give back to the community as they have continued to embrace us.
African Threads: Kunta Kinte Heritage Festival Fundraiser

Dear Annapolis Community, we need your help to continue the tradition of African American, African, and Caribbean arts, education, and culture. To support our efforts, you can join us at the African Threads: Kunta Kinte Heritage Festival Fundraiser event or give for the 2015 Giving Campaign online! With your help, we can bring the festival back to the Annapolis City Dock for all to enjoy!

Annapolis Police Department Community Connection
The APD Community Services Section offers many programs designed to get local residents involved in crime prevention. For example, many city residents take part in Neighborhood Watch programs. The goal of Neighborhood Watch is to encourage citizens to assist police by reporting suspicious activities. APD recently established a Neighborhood Safety Council and Citizen Police Academy to further engage residents in crime prevention efforts.
United States Naval Academy
As the undergraduate college of our country’s naval service, the Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers of competence, character, and compassion in the U.S. The scenic Naval Academy campus, known as the Yard, is located in historic Annapolis, MD., where the Severn River flows into the Chesapeake Bay. With its combination of early 20th-century and modern buildings, the Naval Academy is a blend of tradition and state-of-the-art technology that exemplifies today's Navy and Marine Corps. First Baptist Church has served as an off-campus place of numerous midshipman over the years, have events and partnered in support of community activities and golas. Several items of current interst: Admissions, Summer Seminar for Middle and High School Students, and Midshipman Action Group.
