Annapolis Police Department Chaplain Appointment
Congratulations and God’s Blessings to Reverend Louis J. Boston who has been appointed Chaplain of the Annapolis Police Department. Police chaplains work side by side with law enforcement personnel to assist citizens in the community. A police chaplain is available for officers and for those who become involved with the police and need emotional and spiritual care.

The ANNUAL REV. DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. AWARDS DINNER will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018, at the La Fountaine Bleue Caterers, Glen Burnie, MD., starting at 5:00pm. Tickets can be purchased online at www.mlkjrmd.org.
The 37TH ANNUAL REV. DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. MEMORIAL BREAKFAST will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018, 8:00 a.m to 10:00am at the Anne Arundel Community College David S. Jenkins Gymnasium, Arnold, Maryland. Guest Speaker is Gail C. Christopher, DN. Tickets are $35.00 per person and may be purchased from Sister Josephine Whipple or Deaconess Essie Ross.

Location: Bannaker Douglas Museum
Activities: Join Artist/Performer, Culture Queen, as she hosts the "Happy Birthday Dr. Martin Luther King Jr." celebration on January 13th. The MLK Celebration will celebrate Dr. King's life and legacy with an interactive civil rights-themed show, and crafts! In addition, there will be activities for families with children of all ages to celebrate the legacies of other African American Kings and Queens of Social Justice from the marvelous State of Maryland!

Location: Francis Scott Key Auditorium, St. John’s College
Activities: Join the St. John’s community as some of the finest regional vocalists, including the Singing Sensations, the All-Children’s Chorus of Annapolis, Gospel Truth, Chozen, and the St. John’s College King Celebration Chorus, perform inspiring gospel spirituals at the ninth annual “Lift Every Voice” concert honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. No tickets or reservations are required; however, seating is limited.
