The purpose of the Youth and Young Adult Ministry is to enhance the spritual development of youth and young adults of First Baptist Church.  This is accomplished through social activities and training programs delivered in accordance with the Word of God and the church covenant.

OUR MINISTRIES

 

First Baptist is continually striving to provide assistance to its members and the community in all areas of life.  The pastor, ministors, deacons, deaconesses form a vital athat work together to serve all of those in need. 

 
Deacon and Deaconess Ministry

The deacon and deaconesses work together to provide the following services: 

  • To proclaim the gospel to believers and unbelievers

  • To care for the church's members and other persons in the community

  • To lead the church in the achievement of its mision

  • To aid in baptism

  • To assist with communion

  • To mnister in times of crisis

  • Performaing acts of benevolence

  • Setting a personal example of Christian living

  • Encouraging cooperative work within and with other churches

 

Christian Education

 

Lead by the Director of Christian Education, this ministry is responsible for developing coordinated programs and innovative ways in which the members of the congragation and community at large can continue to learn and grow in spiritual and christian understanding.

 

Sunday School
